Artist Bio

Glenda, an oil and acrylic painter, lives on a farm in Southwestern Manitoba. As a child, her summers were spent exploring the prairies on horseback, putting up hay for the winter and camping trips with her family. Farm animals became friends and nature set the scene for many adventures! Drawing and painting were an outlet for her to express what she saw and how she felt about the natural world around her.  She is inspired by a life lived close to the land and numerous road trips!  After raising two kids, working part time and continuing to help out on the farm, Glenda has renewed her commitment to her art.

Inspiration is found in the paintings of Alex Colville, Robert Lougheed, Heather Cline, Frank Johnston, Franklin Carmichael, Teresa Elliott and Maynard Dixon.
